Slowdog – Ego ft. Kolaboy & Funny Dawg Mp3 Download

Popular Indigenous rap takes centre stage in “Ego”, a new collaboration from Nigerian rapper Slowdog, featuring Kolaboy and fellow entertainer Funny Dawg.

The release brings together three entertainers with connections to southeastern Nigeria’s music scene. Slowdog leads the record with his established Igbo rap identity, while Kolaboy contributes his indigenous rap style and Funny Dawg completes the collaboration.

The recording draws on the musical traditions associated with contemporary Igbo hip-hop, a genre where local language and street expressions play an important role. With three performers involved, the collaboration creates an opportunity for different artistic approaches within the same record.

Slowdog has maintained a presence in Nigerian indigenous rap through years of recordings and collaborations. His previous work with Kolaboy also makes this reunion familiar territory, while Funny Dawg adds another name to the rapper’s expanding list of collaborators.
