Nomy has been sent out of the Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house following repeated defiance of Big Brother’s instructions.

Nomy’s journey in the Big Brother Naija house has come to an end after Big Brother disqualified her from the game.

Big Brother addressed Nomy over her repeated defiance of his instructions, pointing specifically to her conduct while serving as the bench warmer this week. Nomy had been instructed to wear a vest and remain on the bench but was questioned by Big Brother after leaving both her bench and vest behind.

Nomy, whose real name is Whitney Nneoma Chukwu From Nnewi in Anambra State, was ordered to vacate the ‘Show Ya Sef’ house on Monday, after her latest breach involving the Benchwarmer punishment.

“Why have you left your bench and vest behind, what’s your intention?” Big Brother asked before giving Nomy an opportunity to respond.

She had been directed to use a designated bench and wear a vest after finishing last in a recent Head of House challenge. However, Big Brother confronted her after she abandoned both the bench and vest.

Big Brother delivers his verdict

Following her response, Big Brother reminded Nomy that she had previously been warned about her conduct.
Last week, Nomy became the first Housemate of the Show Ya Sef season to receive a strike after Big Brother found her guilty of repeatedly defying his instructions. At the time, Big Brother described the strike as her “last and final warning.”

Addressing her latest infringement, Big Brother reminded Nomy that participation in the Big Brother Naija house is a privilege before announcing his decision.

Effective immediately, that privilege was revoked, and Nomy was given 30 minutes to gather her belongings and leave the Big Brother house.
Nomy is therefore no longer a Housemate in the Big Brother Naija Show Ya Sef house and is out of the running for the season’s grand prize.

Nomy, who is 26 years old is also fashion designer and entrepreneur from Nnewi in Anambra State who was raised in Lagos. She is associated with the fashion brand Ambition by Witme and has a background in sociology, having studied in Kumasi, Ghana.

Nomy’s disqualification makes her the first housemate to be removed on disciplinary grounds this season. She is also no longer eligible for the ₦160 million grand prize.

Her exit comes a day after Gerard Adebija was evicted during Sunday’s live show, leaving 15 housemates in the competition.

Biggie disqualified Nomy for her repeated defiance and disobidience on Monday, september 7 being Day 43 of the show.

Nomy had previously received a final strike earlier in the season after repeatedly ignoring Big Brother’s instructions, as well as displaying a lackadaisical attitude and selective participation in activities.

Despite the final warning, she continued to disregard Big Brother’s instructions. After she was announced as the benchwarmer on Monday, she refused to take the bench and vest from the Ninjas in the house, despite Big Brother’s intervention. This consequently led to the decision to revoke her right to remain in the game.

Following the announcement, Big Brother gave Nomy 30 minutes to pack her belongings and leave the house. Her disqualification makes her ineligible to compete for the grand prize or participate in the remaining activities of the show.

Prior to her entry into the Season 11 “Show Ya Sef” edition, Nomy had auditioned four to six times and had previously gained entry into the house during an earlier edition of the show. However, she contracted COVID-19, which led to her exit.
